About this file

This document is an amendment to solicitation number 36C25023Q0864 providing answers to questions from contractors. The solicitation from the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office is for a warehouse move requiring relocation of medical supplies and furniture between buildings. A forklift will be needed to remove pallets from racking. Trailers over 26 feet would facilitate more efficient loading. The opportunity is reserved as a 100% set-aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. No incumbent was performing these services previously. The response date is not noted.

Kristina L. Peart Contracting Officer RFQ 36C25023Q0864 Questions and Answers

1. Question: Will your office provide pictures or an item list of the medical supplies and furniture that needs to be moved to include dimensions?

Answer: No

1. Question: Is there a budget range your office has set for this project?

Answer: Yes

1. Question: Is this a new contract or if there is (was an incumbent performing these services? If not brand new, could you please provide the current/previous contract number?

Answer: This is a brand-new contract.

1. Question: Is there a loading dock at each warehouse, for those who could not attend the walk thru?

Answer: Yes

1. Question: Will we need to supply a forklift to remove pallets from racking or will the client have everything removed and ready? There are two 2 onsite currently at building 5.

Answer: Yes, you will need to supply a forklift to remove pallets from racking in Building #5.

1. Question: Are more products expected to be delivered before the relocation in Building #5?

Answer: No, there may be less due to ongoing projects, but not more that what’s currently there.

1. Question: Will we need to move the shrink wrap machine? If, so, will the manufacturer disassemble it, or should we include disassembly in our pricing? It is bolted to the floor and can be removed easily.

Answer: No, in-house will call the manufacturer to see if they can move it.

1. Question: Will we need to supply our own forklift (and this will only be needed if we are helping with the organization and putting items on the racking)? If, not, pallet jacks will be sufficient.

Answer: Yes, you will need to supply your own forklift.

1. Question: Will we be responsible for placing and installing any office furniture coming over from building 33 to destination?

Answer: No, the furniture in building 33 is for storage only.
