Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement
The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the following items listed below for the VA Pontiac CBOC. The associated NAICS code for this is 334510. The vendor will be e3 Diagnostics, 3333 N Kennicott Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
Description of requirements:
Contract to purchase two RS-254 model audio booths for the Pontiac CBOC located at 44200 Woodward Ave., Pontiac, MI 48341. The contractor is responsible for delivery, installation and set up of equipment. The RS-254 model is required because the current model on site is the same manufactured item, but smaller in size. The audio booths currently on site were purchased through and installed by e3 Diagnostics, so the same manufactured booths are required in order to be compatible with all hookups and designs already in place on site. Additionally, the larger model is required because the current booth on site is too small and poses many challenges with patient. Some challenges patients currently face are limited space in the testing booth which makes it difficult for patients using wheelchairs or walkers to enter the booth and close the door, it may cause patients to feel claustrophobic and there is no room for caregivers to be in the testing booth with the patient.
A firm fixed price contract is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received via email no later than 4:30 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023.
