CONTINUATION PAGE

1. Page 15 of 102 of the Statement of Work (SOW), Section 1 references “must have true walk away capability”. To clarify, does this also include true walkaway final results without operator re-classification of urine microscopic particles?

VA Answer true walkaway is for negative results. Re-classification of urine microscopic particles is OKAY.

1. Page 16 of 102 of the Statement of Work (SOW), Section 1 references a Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR) which could fluctuate throughout the term. Is it acceptable to quote a Firm Fixed Monthly Cost as an alternative option to include all requested equipment, service, and consumables throughout the term of agreement?

1. If a firm fixed monthly cost is not acceptable, is it possible to add language that would allow for an annual CPRR adjustment agreed to by both parties should the volumes provided fluctuate by greater than +/-10% from those provided in this solicitation?

VA Answer The contract will be set up as CPRR. CPRR pricing should be provided reflecting the estimated amounts in the RFQ. However, the vendor is welcome to provide additional pricing volumes higher and lower than the estimated volumes that will be the primary award volumes noted in the contract. This is a firm-fixed price contract. The volumes priced out at higher and/or lower amounts (should they be provided) will be noted in the contract should they come into play.

1. Page 16 of 102 of the Statement of Work, Section 2 defines the need for a “chemistry/microscopic analyzer” at VAAAHS but only a “chemistry analyzer” at Toledo CBOC. Would you be able to confirm if a urine sediment analyzer (microscopic) is also needed at the Toledo site or a chemistry analyzer only?

VA Answer For Toledo site, the quote should include a Fully Automated Urinalysis Chemistry Analyzer and a Microscopy Imaging unit (capable of identifying WBCs, RBCs, Bacteria, Epithelial Cells and Casts) or Flow Cytometry if available, for Particle Analysis.

1. Page 38 of 102 of the Statement of Work, Section 16 provides estimated reportable volumes per month and per year. For Example Ann Arbor shows 22,680 UAs without Microscopic and 12,940 UAs with Microscopics per year. Using this example and to ensure we are using the correct volumes in our calculations, does this mean a total of 22,680 Urines were tested for chemistry and of those only 12,940 reflexed a microscopic test? OR Does this mean a total of 35,620 Urines were tested for chemistry and 12,940 reflexed a microscopic test?

VA Answer It means that a total of 22,680 Urines were tested for chemistry and of those only 12,940 reflexed a microscopic test.

RFQ amendment for 5-year ordering period CPRR for Urinalysis.
