1. Can the VA please provide the spreadsheet which identifies the outlet locations throughout the facility? Attached.
2. Will there be any dedicated electrical circuits such as 120v/20A or 208v/30A for communications equipment? See RFI response 10.
3. Can the VA please provide existing electrical panel schedules for all affected electrical rooms/panels? It’s assumed that there is existing space for the required work; panel schedules are not necessary but shall be updated during the project.
4. Does the VA anticipate the need for new distribution panels or sub‐panels to support the new electrical outlets? The VA does not anticipate the need for any additional panels or sub‐panels.
5. ‐In Div. 26 it identifies colored conduit systems, is this an actual requirement that all conduits shall be color coded per system type? Yes. HFC cable can be used to fish the wall but shall enter a J‐box connected to appropriate colored conduit once entering interstitial space.
6. The drawings provided on Beta.Sam.Gov do not appear to be formatted correctly for viewing in
PDF or printing. Can the VA provide properly formatted drawings of the facility for our use, preferably scaled drawings for appropriate take offs? Already provided to CO/CS
7. The provided drawings identify ~100 communications outlets and 1 electrical outlet, can the VA provide the appropriate locations for each electrical and communications outlet, as well as any special requirements per outlet location such as dedicated circuits? Outlet can be on gen purpose if there is space on the circuit. See RFI 10.
8. Per Block 8 of the SF1442 it identifies to address the offer to Department of VA, NCO 10, Independence, OH. Is this the correct address to submit our proposal responses? If not, can you please provide the correct address to hand deliver bid packages?
Answer: ALL BID should be addressed to Mr. Kyle Lipper 24 Frank Lloyd Wright Dr., Suite M‐
2200, Ann Arbor 48105
9. Requesting drawings/schematic for interstitial spaces of the affected areas of hospital.

11. Are we to use double gang cut in boxes or (2) single gang? Double gang cut‐in boxes are acceptable.
12. Are we to provide patch panels for terminating Cat 6A or will that be provided by the VA?
Termination, jacks and patch panels are responsibility of the contractor.
13. Base on the walk‐through noticed that the square duct that’s in the data closets are over 100% filled with data cabling. Was there plans on adding an additional square duct or 4” conduit from the rack location to the interstitial area for all the new Cat6 cabling that’s require, the plans doesn’t call out for any new duct or 4” conduit in the data closets. As and alternative to running cable in interstitial, use 4” conduit as a sleeve to run horizontally above drop ceilings as required using j‐hooks above ceiling to suspend data cable.
