QUESTION #1 Would it be possible for you to send me some pictures of the leaking transformer?

ANSWER #1 The transformer with the leak is in substation #12 Attached pictures However Sub #8 transformer is presently under negative pressure which is why there does not appear to be a leak. The leak is at the pressure gauge

QUESTION #2 Will electrical substation drawings be made available upon award of contract? (Important for switching and safety LOTO) ANSWER #2 No, there should be no need for them. The VA electricians will be responsible for switching and LOTO

QUESTION #3 Will existing coordination study be made available upon award of contract?

ANSWER #3 No

QUESTION #4 What are the types and quantities of the metering and relays that need to be inspected/tested in the Primary Switchgear?

ANSWER #4 The answer to this question is in the SOW; 5. Phase I

QUESTION #5 If Siemens relays, is the software that came with the relays available for testing?

ANSWER #5 NO; I do not have the software.

QUESTION #6 Is there any site-specific training required prior to going on site?

ANSWER #6 Privacy Training as to the solicitation.

QUESTION #7 Will the de-energization of equipment be done through coordination of the VA Facility Manager and the company doing the work? (Can we work out a schedule on an on-going basis?)

ANSWER #7 Times will be scheduled with the affected departments and De-energization will be conducted by the VA electricians.

QUESTION #8 What is the size of the Substation Number 8 Oil Transformer?

· How many gallons of oil are in the unit?

· What is the oil used in the transformer? (Mineral oil, silicone oil, FR3, etc.)

· Can you send a picture of the transformer?

ANSWER #8 I have attached a picture of the data plate See answer #10

QUESTION #9 Will the ATS’ be available to scan on both normal and emergency sides in a close time frame?

· Who is responsible for the transfer of power from normal to emergency, and then back to normal?

· Are there IR windows on the ATS’?

ANSWER #9 There are not IR windows, and all transferring will be conducted by the VA electrician.

QUESTION #10 repair of Substation 8 Transformer:

· How many gallons is the unit? How low is the unit?

· Mineral oil, silicone oil, or FR3?

ANSWER #10 I am not sure what type of oil is in the transformer, I have attached a picture.

Mineral oil; 253 gal; it is hard to tell, but it does not appear to be real low.
