About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) intake form issued by the VA Office of Research & Development Enterprise Optimization Division to collect feedback on potential partnerships with community-based organizations. The RFI seeks to advance efforts increasing Veteran access to clinical research opportunities through the VA Cooperative Studies Program (CSP) and Million Veteran Program (MVP). Organizations responding to this RFI should submit the completed form to renee.kale@va.gov with all attachments in PDF format using Arial 12-point font.
The intake form requests organizational information including business name, address, years in business, business size, SAM UEI, and website. Respondents must describe their areas of expertise in four priority areas: execution of clinical research activities in rural settings across all study phases; blood and specimen collection and shipment capabilities; establishment of partnerships with Veteran patient populations; and partnerships with community stakeholder groups (Veteran organizations, faith-based organizations, community health centers). The form also requests descriptions of available resources, specific locations where support can be provided (indicating whether locations support all study phases or blood collection only), and prior experience working with VA investigators or sites. The form includes an acknowledgment section clarifying that CSP and MVP will not provide feedback on submissions, will treat responses as source selection sensitive information, and that this RFI is for information and planning purposes only with no government commitment. Community partners and project staff must be located in the United States. The underlying federal opportunity prioritizes community partners with infrastructure and capacity to operate in rural areas to serve as additional clinical research study sites supplementing traditional VA Medical Centers and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics.
