DESCRIPTION

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Atlanta VA Medical Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Translational Testing And Training Laboratories, Inc (T3) for endovascular cardiovascular operations and magnetic resonance imaging services.

The Atlanta VAMC Research Services requires services for endovascular cardiovascular operations and magnetic resonance imaging for large animal studies conducted in a pre-clinical institute operating a GLP compliant and AAALAC accredited facility for an ongoing research study. The facility must be in close proximity to the Atlanta VAMC to enable travel without compromising the protocol and scientific rigor of the research, and T3 is within 30 minutes of the Atlanta VAMC. T3 possesses the combination of expertise, equipment, and imaging necessary for the safe and successful completion of this ongoing VA research study, and this is a follow-on contract for substantially similar services. T3 is the only known vendor that meets all the regulatory compliance, accreditation, scientific, geographic, and data compatibility needs of the Atlanta VAMC.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the contracting office no later than Thursday, August 11, 2022, 3:00 PM, EDT. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Shannon Hukriede at shannon.hukriede@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
