DESCRIPTION
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, Center for Information Dissemination and Education Resources (CIDER) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) for scientific journal supplement publication services.
CIDER requires services to produce a special journal supplement of peer-reviewed manuscripts in the Academic Emergency Medicine (AEM) Journal of Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM). The manuscripts written by VA Health Service Research and Development Service (HSR&D) and invited investigators/respondents will be focused on the “state of the art of emergency care in the VA healthcare system.” AEM/SAEM is uniquely qualified due to its emphasis on clinical trials, observational cohort studies, and economic or policy research, all of which are a part of health services research; its ranking as a top journal in the field; and its target audience and membership cohort of academic emergency physicians to produce a special journal supplement.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Wednesday, February 23, 2022, 3:00 PM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Shannon Hukriede at Shannon.Hukriede@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
