The Research service at the Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center is proposing to purchase individually ventilated rack systems designed for the housing of laboratory rats and individually ventilated rack systems designed for the housing of laboratory mice. It is necessary to use disposable caging because the facility where these housing systems will be used do not have a cage wash space available to clean and sterilize cages prior to use. It is desired that the selected manufacturer be compatible with existing caging to utilize storage spaces efficiently and to provide continuity of existing rack systems currently on site. For this reason, we have requested the purchase of these racks from Innovive. Innovive is able to meet our specific need to provide disposable caging systems for both rats and mice.
