March 2010 A Intent to Sole Source - Affiliate Research Services 15212-5319 36C24E19R0005 N 541715 US Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Service Area Office (SAO) East 323 North Shore Drive, Suite 500 Pittsburgh PA 15212-5319 lynn.portman@va.gov The Department of Veterans Affairs, Pugent Sound VA Health Care System, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-5, with their academic affiliate, Oregon Health & Science University for research support services in conjunction with VA research grant STAT‐PD: Preventing Levodopa Induced Dyskinesia in Parkinson’s disease with HMG‐CoA Reductase Inhibitors. The FCSR will provide the equipment and training for the phosho‐protein analysis for the Anti‐ERK1/2. The OHSU FCSR has operated as a core resource for OHSU researchers and the Knight Cancer Institute members since 1996 and the Oregon Stem Cell Center since 2005. It provides advanced flow cytometry instrumentation, technical expertise, and technical services. The FCSR provides data analysis, data interpretation, experiment design, androutine operation to researchers.This is a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Friday, January 22nd, 4:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
