About this file
This document contains responses to requests for information (RFIs) regarding a solicitation to replace flooring and conduct asbestos abatement work in two buildings at a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center. The solicitation seeks to replace flooring and install new wall base in exam rooms, team rooms, and other clinical areas in Buildings 3 and 117, and conduct asbestos abatement work in the stairwells of Building 3. The RFI responses clarify that the contractor will be given rooms and areas to work in sequentially on nights and weekends to minimize disruption, furnish standard quantities and installation methods for floor patching and wall base, specify furniture removal and storage logistics, and provide a laydown area and dumpster location. The attached sign-in sheet documents attendance at the pre-bid site visit.
