Q1. Does the Legionella control plan mentioned, comes in after 30 days, involve a water management program, and do the Legionella samples need to be included in bid pricing? Legionella testing is under a separate contract by the VA(gems) however the chemical contractor will need a Legionella prevention plan and including the chemicals that will be used and what test/frequency the contractor will use to monitor the effectiveness of those chemicals.

Same info here in Nashville

Q2. What are gallon volumes of the tower systems at each location? Area of sump for each tower or model number will work as well. The volume is needed to correctly calculate the biocide dose for each system. Here at the Murfreesboro campus we have two BAC Towers Model #33400 Serial #99861921 (6-cells) and two BAC towers Model #S35-1424-07R-2 Serial #0164840701-01-01 and I am not sure of total capacity. For 3600 tons of cooling.

Here at Nashville Tower 1 is a BAC Model number 386820 (2 Cell) 1200 Tons Tower 2 is a Marley tower serial number is NC-10129229-A2 NC8409TAN2BMF 2017 and is 1300 tons Tower 3 is a tower tech Model number EF.159.301 and is being replaced and should still be a 600 ton Tower 4 is a Marley tower and the model /serial number is 55651-2/B22152A/4842

Q3. Will VA Nashville cooling tower 3 be operational next year or will it still be in the process of being replaced? This will change cost estimates if the tower will not be running and increase the price the following year.

We do not plan on using the tower we have now. We hope to have the chiller and tower replaced as soon as next summer but the tower size should remain the same at 600 tons as it is now.

· Will you require the successful lead water treatment specialist, who is responsible for testing your systems and recommending/applying biocides, to be in compliance with State of Tennessee Law? Show Documentation at the time of the proposal? State of Tennessee Law mandates that your lead water treatment specialist must be certified and chartered by the State to recommend/apply biocides in your facilities. This includes recommendation/application of biocides to your cooling towers and chill loops. It is assumed that this applies to federal facilities in Tennessee, as it derives from federal law/FIFRA.

· SDVOSB set-asides require that the SDVOSB perform 51% of the total cost of the contract and not just be a pass through. Will you require the successful SDVOSB to be in compliance with this requirement and show documentation of how they are to be in compliance? Yes

· Is this project taxable or will it be tax exempt? There will be tax exempt status given to the contractor.

· What is the annual steam production in Nashville and Murfreesboro?

· What is the average condensate return % in Nashville and Murfreesboro?

· What is the annual cooling tower make up water (in gallons) in Nashville and Murfreesboro? Not Metered in Nashville

· What is the annual cooling tower blowdown water (in gallons) in Nashville and Murfreesboro? Not Metered in Nashville

· What is the annual make up water (in gallons) to the main chill loop in Murfreesboro?

· Last year, it was stated that all chemical feed/applications equipment in Nashville and Murfreesboro was owned by VA, including chemical storage tanks. This year, the specification implies that tanks are not owned by VA. Who owns all chemical feed/applications equipment? How old is the equipment and is it all in good working order? VA owns the Equipment in Nashville and is new like Condition

· Will any allowances be identified for any equipment that many not be in good working order? No Nashville

· What are the results of the last 2 or 3 corrosion coupons? What was the loss in mills? Less than 1 mill in Nashville
