About this file

This document is an Amendment of Solicitation (Standard Form 30) for a Department of Veterans Affairs solicitation to replace the main door at the Community Living Center (CLC) at James A. Haley Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tampa, FL. The amendment extends the solicitation response deadline from June 11, 2025, to June 23, 2025, and introduces a mandatory site visit on June 16, 2025, for prospective bidders. Notably, bid submissions are exclusively restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

The amendment includes detailed questions and answers about the door replacement project, specifying technical requirements such as fail-safe locks with battery backup, existing access control (PIV outside building plus motion sensors), and power specifications (120V normal power). The project involves removing the existing automatic sliding door system and installing a hurricane-rated Nabco GT1175 Automatic Sliding Door System, with equivalent products potentially acceptable upon government review. The site visit will be held at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, beginning at 1:00 pm and concluding by 3:00 pm, with vendors advised to dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes due to potential extensive walking.
