This is Amendment 0005 to solicitation 36C24824R0177 issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 for converting the 6th floor West wing of building one at James A. Haley VAMC to private patient rooms. The amendment extends the proposal due date to March 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM EDT.

The amendment provides answers to RFI questions, revised drawings, revised specifications, CCTV riser diagram and VA Tampa Interior Sign System information. Key updates include: removing all deduct alternates, requiring proposals with two line items (CLIN 001 for all construction services except patient lift equipment, CLIN 002 for patient lift equipment purchase only), clarifying that all proposals must be emailed to david.hernandez1@va.gov with separate technical and price submissions. The RFI responses provide extensive clarifications on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural and architectural requirements, including specifications for bariatric rooms, AHU installation, nurse call systems, and various other construction details across 244 individual questions and responses.

Pointer Construction

10/31/24

VA Response: All rooms shall be "negative pressure capable" and monitorable (for pandemic situation). Currently, all rooms shall be balanced as shown on plan. A means of automatic (Bacnet) changeover to negative is not allowed and will require a TAB agency to confirm flows/pressures.
