About this file
This document is a Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO-8) regarding a proposed single-source procurement for maintenance and repair services of Pyxis equipment.
The VA intends to award a contract to CareFusion Solutions LLC, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) authorized service representative for the geographical area, to provide maintenance and repair services for the Pyxis equipment system. The proposed contract will have a base year with four one-year option periods. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment, the VA requires a manufacturer-certified service technician to perform the services. The applicable NAICS code is 811210 with a $34 million size standard, and the PSC code is J065. This is a notice of intent to award a single-source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), and it is not a request for competitive quotes. Firms that want to challenge the single-source justification must provide clear and convincing evidence of their capability to provide the required services and demonstrate that competition would be advantageous to the government. Responses to this notice must be submitted by email to the Contract Specialist by July 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM AST.
