1. How would you like the proposal submitted?

a. Quotes shall be sent by e‐mail “only” to the Contracting Officer (John H. Shultzaberger) at John.Shultzaberger@va.gov

2. Was this previously awarded? If so to whom and how much was the award?

a. A 6-month contract was awarded via contract number 36C24824P0510. Award information is available on Federal Procurement Data System - Next Generation (fpds.gov)

3. Can the government clarify how many emergency service requests there have been in the past 24 months?

a. Approximately 35 requests between Lake City and Gainesville.

4. What is the number of bed bug service requests over the past 24 months?

a. Approximately 80 - 90 between all the sites.

5. Can the government confirm the number of exterior rodent bait stations and interior rodent traps that are present? Will the government require these to be provided by the contractor upon award at Malcom Randall VAMC and Lake City VAMC?

a. None are currently deployed.

6. Can the government clarify how many fly lights are being used at Malcom Randall VAMC and Lake City VAMC?

a. 11 between the two facilities.

7. Will the government provide any preference for SDVOSB Certified contractors as outlined within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans First Program?

a. Clause 852.215-70 is included in the solicitation.

8. Since there are 17 CLINs on the base year and each of the option years, it is hard to price our services since every item has the same description ‘Pest Control Services’, can you please elaborate for each item and provide a specific description for us to provide you with accurate pricing?

a. Each CLIN references a location allowing the vendor to price each location separately. See B.4 Delivery Schedule for your reference.

9. Can you provide us with maps and photos of the facility?

a. Maps and Photos are not available.

10. We would like to request a site visit as well to further inspect the site and provide you with a comprehensive proposal, an extension of this solicitation would be of great help so we can attend the site visit and have enough time to provide you with a high-quality proposal,

a. Due to numerous sites and the expected cost associated with such a large and burdensome site visit it was not scheduled for this requirement.
