About this file
This document is a Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 in West Palm Beach, Florida, indicating the VA Miami Healthcare System's intent to negotiate a sole source contract with 911INet LLC for radio communication equipment and services.
The VA intends to award a firm fixed-price contract, potentially with a base period plus four option years, for Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) service that will allow VA Medical Center staff to use mobile phones as walkie-talkies with unlimited range, enable single-button access to talk groups, and provide half-duplex communications. The service provided by 911INet LLC allows access to PoC across all commercial mobile carriers without the need for repeaters. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 517112.
The VA is conducting this procurement under the simplified acquisition procedures in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i) as it has determined that 911INet LLC is the only responsible source that can meet the agency's requirements. The VA is not requesting competitive quotes, but if other firms believe they can meet the requirements, they must provide detailed information about their products, services, and customer references to the Contracting Officer by 11:59 PM EST on April 5, 2024. The VA will evaluate any responses received, but reserves the right to proceed with the sole source negotiation with 911INet LLC.
