About this file

This document contains a single source justification for a federal contract award. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 at the James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital awarded a contract to OST Services, LLC for $38,650 on February 1, 2024. The contract requires OST Services to remove and replace a roof top unit at Building T56 that controls humidity for the PET SCAN unit. The existing unit was discovered to no longer maintain an acceptable humidity level and possibly cause mold growth. Building T56 had to shut down on January 26, 2024 due to the unsatisfactory humidity, negatively impacting veteran healthcare by forcing rescheduled and cancelled appointments. The single source justification stated the requirement was an emergency, and OST Services was the only contractor able to immediately perform the work as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business listed in the VETCERT database.
