About this file

This document contains responses to questions from potential offerors on solicitation number 36C24822Q0091 from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The solicitation seeks quarterly cleaning, inspection, and maintenance services for two 500,000 gallon concrete water storage tanks located at the Bay Pines VA Health Care System campus in Bay Pines, Florida. Offerors must follow AWWA standards and all applicable federal, state and local guidelines. The services include pressure washing, disinfecting, cleaning and inspecting the interior domes of the tanks on a quarterly basis. Staff from the facility's plumbing and pipe shop will drain the tanks and open the hatches for contractor access. The responses clarify that pre-sampling of water quality is required before each cleaning event. Repair parts covered under an emergency services contract line item would include all internal and external structural components except piping and float systems. As-built drawings of the tanks were provided as an attachment.
