VENDOR QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (Q&As) Generator Load Bank Testing
(RFQ 36C24820Q0456)
The following questions were asked of the Government relating to the subject requirement which are hereby posted and responded to.
Q&As:
(1) Question: What is the distance to the generator when towing a trailer mounted load bank? What is the closest it can get on the furthest generator to reach?
Answer: It is estimated that a minimum 200’ x 5 cables would be adequate for the load bank work. Additionally, the SOW states “Section III. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS item e) A site visit isn’t mandatory for bidding but would be advised before the work begins.” Interested vendors are encouraged to attend the site visit being offered on 3/11/2020 per answer to question 2 below.
(2) Question: I noted that there is not a site visit scheduled; I would like to schedule site visit in order to properly bid on project. Need to understand the location of the generators, how many stories from ground level, and accessibility. Please confirm date and time.
Answer: A site visit has been scheduled for 10:00AM EST on 3/11/2020. Interested vendors are encouraged to attend the site visit to better understand the project and obtain their own measurements for required cables. Please meet in front of the elevators on the 1st floor of Building 2 and arrive early, as there is limited parking around the facility and possible vehicle checks due to corona virus concerns. Note that quotes are still due no later than March 11, 2020 by 11:59 PM EST.
