Vendor Question 1. Whether companies from Outside USA can apply for this?

(like, from India or Canada)

Government Answer. Refer to the RFQ Section C.7 52.212-5 IBR 52.225-1 and 52.225-3

Vendor Question 2. Whether we need to come over there for meetings?

Government answer. Refer to the RFQ Section B.2 Statement of Work.

Vendor Question 3. Can we perform the tasks (related to RFP) outside USA?

(like, from India or Canada)

Government answer. Refer to the RFQ Section B.2 Statement of Work.

Vendor Question 4. Can we submit the proposals via email?

Government Answer. Refer to the RFQ Section E.1 Addendum To Far 52.212-1 Instructions To Offerors—Commercial Items.

Vendor Question 5. How many workstations would need to be wired to the network?

Government Answer. For the histology portion of system requiring hardware, 3 accessioning/distribution stations, 2 grossing stations, 5 microtomy stations. There will also be 10 pathologist/cytotechnologist stations and countless specimen collection stations and monitoring stations. The software should be available on all PC’s on the domain as long as the version of software is TRM approved.

Vendor Question 6. What is the requirement for the wiring (CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6)?

Government Answer. CAT6

Vendor Question 7. For those workstations without network wiring, is there a network switch to connect to?

Government Answer. n/a - regular PCs with regular network domain access can have this application installed with ACL modification.

Vendor Question 8. If a network switch exists, does that switch eventually connect to the Internet?

Government Answer. Yes, but restricted.

Vendor Question 9. If no network switch exists and one is supplied, will there be resources to connect that switch to the Internet?

Government Answer. n/a

Vendor Question 10. Can the wires be run outside the wall or must they be run inside the wall?

Government Answer. N/A - No cables are allowed to run outside the wall by FMS Policies.

Vendor Question 11. If inside the wall, is the wall made of a material that can be easily cut into (wallboard, wood, sheet rock)?

Government Answer. Yes, but this is not required at this time

Vendor Question 12. In section 2.3.10 asks about compliance with CAP Cancer Checklists. Are you expecting this to be a part of the specimen tracking system or is this a separate piece that would interface with the VistA AP lab system?

Government Answer. Yes, part of tracking system. Tracking system should include QA functionality.
