CBT Training Statement of Work

A. OBJECTIVE / DESCRIPTION:

The Veterans Affairs Health Care System, Gainesville, FL VAMC has a requirement for CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) for Depression and Suicide Prevention 2-Day In-Person Workshop.

B. BACKGROUND:

The workshop is to provide Clinicians with specific training pertaining to active duty military service members, veterans and their families pose unique challenges in treatment. This workshop should focus on the evidence-based methods of cognitive behavior therapy to help clients with suicide-related ideation and/or behaviors.

Instructor led workshop shall teach us how to use the cognitive model to conceptualize military-related clients, as well as learning the three phases of a research -based cognitive behavior outpatient protocol to prevent suicide, including the collaborative creation of a step-by-step safety plan.

The workshop shall be designed for civilian mental health providers who routinely work with military service members, families, and/or veterans in community settings, as well as mental health providers who work within military treatment facilities and/or VA Hospital settings.

Participation in this program, mental health professionals shall gain skills and knowledge to help them deliver effective cognitive behavior therapy to active duty military service members, veterans and their families.

C. CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

Contractor shall provide highly qualified staff (licensed psychologists) with expertise in the provision of CBT. Contractor shall submit copy of psychologist license with all submitted proposals and quotes.

D. Service Requirements:

Workshop: CBT for Depression and Suicide Prevention

Instructor: Led Date: June 18, 2019 - June 19, 2019

Time: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM (including lunch and breaks) Location of Event: Gainesville, FL E. Product Requirements:

1. NF/SG VHS HONOR Center will provide a computer monitor and presentation equipment (No PHI/PII storage),

2. NF/SG VHS HONOR Center will provide use of a dry erase or flip board.

3. Contractor is responsible for providing presentation materials.

F. Security/ PHI PII Requirements:

Contractor shall not obtain or disclose PHI/PII. Contractor must be able to provide training without the need of collecting PHI/PII. Training will not require any form of PHI/PII data or storage.

G. Other Requirements:

Contractor must have the ability to electronically provide any requisite training materials to NF/SG VHS MHSL CRRSL management five days in advance of the Services related to such Materials. NF/SG VHS MHSL CRRSL management is responsible for reproduction and distribution of the materials to participants. Any materials provided (including, without limitation, PowerPoint presentations/handouts) is to be made available to participants ONLY in hard copy. Electronic reproduction and/or distribution of training material is prohibited.
