RFI Tracking Log

RFI NBR Question/ Response

Company Submitted By

Dated Received

1.

Page 1 of 59, paragraph 13.a; Indicates Offers are due by “1:00 PM”.

however, page 6 of 59, paragraph 7 shows “12:00 PM”.

Please confirm / advise which time is correct

SDVCG 5/7/18

VA Response: 1:00 PM E.S.T.

2. Page 1 of 59, paragraph 13.d, and page 6 of 59, paragraph 2; Indicates “180 calendar days for Government acceptance” of the Offer respectively.

However, customarily, this is for “120 calendar days”.

VA Response: 120 calendar days

3. Page 11 of 59, paragraph 2.(a).(4); Indicates the Offeror submitting a current “EMR” letter from its Insurer within this part of its Proposal. However, Page 14 of 59, paragraph 4.g.ii (Safety or Environmental Violations & EMR);

Indicates the Offeror also submitting “their past Safety & Environmental record.” I currently assume that because this provision falls under page 12 of 59, paragraph 4 (Evaluation & Award Information), that this additional information would only be required to be submitted by the Offeror post‐ proposal submission / pre‐award if being considered, and as requested by the Contracting Officer. Please confirm / advise.

VA Response: All firms must submit EMR with the original proposal submission.

4. Page 15 of 59, paragraphs V.2 & 3; Indicates “The Contractor shall be a Certified Mold Remediation Contractor”, and “The Contractor shall be a Certified Asbestos Abatement Contractor” respectively. However, General Contractors such as SDVCG are rarely certified to self‐perform this type of work. With that said, we request that this language be revised to state “The Mold Remediation Subcontractor shall be a Certified Mold Remediation Contractor”, and “The Asbestos Abatement Subcontractor shall be a Certified Asbestos Abatement Contractor” respectively.

VA Response: It is the preference for the prime contractor to have these licenses however if they do not, then the prime contractor must submit documentation of any subcontractors that are going to be involved directly with the project that have the certified licenses.

5. Page 19 of 59, paragraph VII.2; States “The contractor will perform work….for two shifts as needed.” I currently assume that performing during the second shift (premium time work hours) is at the Contractor’s discretion in order to meet the specified period of performance. Please confirm / advise.

VA Response: The Period of Performance must be met for this project.

6. During the site visit, it was discussed that Project #546‐17‐109 is strictly MEP and that a secondary solicitation will come out for the renovation and demolition of the kitchen space. Is this correct? If so, when do you anticipate the secondary project being posted?
