2 Vendor has the capability to respond to the mass spectroscopy portion of this solicitation by providing an Open Market Quote for the “Bruker MALDI-TOF”. We will detail all pricing for the hardware, reagents/consumables, & Service over 5 years. This quote will accompany our CPT Quote for the Walkaway 96 Analyzer in our final submission. The bottom line is that all costs will be represented by the quotes as well as in Pricing Section of the RFQ. Please clarify if this is an acceptable format for submission.

We are asking for one system that has two components which ‘talk” to each other. You may use the price schedule to enter in your quote and provide a backup with technical details and breakdown of pricing. The government will apply the following comparative evaluation process as the basis for award: Assess the direct comparison of one quote with another using a uniform and fair approach to determine which quote provides the government what it needs, where and when in accordance with the Final SON, the combined synopsis and amendments. Once one quotation is found acceptable, it is compared to the remaining ones, and the “best” one is chosen for the best value to the government.

3 The primary question we have is specific to the way we present our solution. The Solicitation is written in a way that promotes the replacement of the existing equipment in the laboratory today. Vendor would like to propose that our response to also include a continuation of the existing equipment per the previous contract structure.

• In general, there is a significant amount of work and validation a laboratory must perform for the installation of any new equipment.

• Please provide direction on how we should respond to the solicitation to incorporate the existing equipment that is on-site today.

Attached is the updated SON. The system must have virtual software installed on multiple computers at the bench level to improve efficiency.

Provide your quote in accordance with price schedule and SON to include the replacement/installation of existing system to include Government Owned 4 prep stations serial numbers: CDS 6535, 6536, 6537, & 6538.
