About this file

This document is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for Emergent Reference Lab Testing services issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The solicitation (36C24726Q0132) is for providing reference laboratory testing services to the Charleston VA Healthcare System, with the current contract number 36C24725C0056 indicating an incumbent was previously performing these services. The amendment includes a detailed list of required tests, such as susceptibility testing, various panels (BAL, Kidney Biopsy), CMV testing, and specialized procedures like bone marrow processing and electron microscopy.

The solicitation specifies that all offers remain due by December 19, 2025 at 10:00am ET. The document addresses specific questions about test turnaround times, confirming that certain complex tests like cultures, HLA testing, chromosome testing, and FISH testing are exempt from the standard 24-hour turnaround time requirement due to the nature of the analyses, assay complexity, reflex testing, or regulatory/quality considerations. The contract is administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, located in Montgomery, Alabama.
