About this file

This document is a Request for SDVOSB/VOSB Sole Source Justification for home oxygen and ventilator services for the VA Augusta Health Care System. The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks to award a 3-month bridge contract to Hometown Veterans Medical, LLC from December 01, 2025 to February 28, 2026, to prevent interruption of critical services while a new long-term contract is being finalized. The current contract expires on November 30, 2025, and the new solicitation is pending closure/response.

Market research identified 125 service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) and veteran-owned small businesses (VOSBs) potentially capable of providing these services. The sole-source justification emphasizes the incumbent's proven performance, ability to provide medical oxygen systems, delivery, set-up, preventive maintenance, and patient education. The contract will cover medical oxygen cylinders, related accessories, and equipment for VA Medical Center patients, with the government determining the pricing to be fair and reasonable based on current contract comparisons and market surveys.
