About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for solicitation 36C24725Q0825, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 7 Network Contracting Activity. The amendment extends the response due date to August 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM EDT and addresses several key clarifications. The solicitation involves Radiologic Services for VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) and the Carrollton outpatient facility, with an initially estimated annual volume of 37,107 exams, which is now projected to be closer to 42,000 exams based on recent volume data.

The amendment includes responses to vendor inquiries, notably clarifying that there will be no site visit for the Atlanta VA Medical Center, and the vendor will provide services exclusively for CBOCs. The VA indicates they will conduct a cost analysis to potentially purchase VA equipment if exam volumes continue to increase, and will seek a contract modification if necessary. The solicitation requires interpretation reports from board-certified, credentialed providers, with the current trend showing most exams require radiologist interpretation, though this may depend on future VA hiring practices.

This amendment is to do the following:

1. Extend the response due date and time for solicitation

3. All other terms and conditions remain the same.

James E. Boles Jr.

Contracting Officer

1. The solicitation notes an Estimated Annual Volume of Work for the Base Year as 37,107 exams. However, based on volume data since November 2024, extrapolated over a full year, we estimate the true annual volume to be closer to 42,000 exams. Will the estimated annual volume be updated or revised to reflect this current trend? The VA will complete a cost analysis to determine if (due to the volume) it would be better to initiate the implementation to purchase VA equipment in the future. If the volume surpasses the initial volume of studies a modification will be requested.

2. The solicitation states that the contractor shall provide interpretation reports upon request by board-certified, credentialed providers. Based on our experience since November 2024, the vast majority of exams have required radiologist interpretation. Do you anticipate that this percentage of interpreted exams will remain consistent with historical norms, or do you foresee any change?

Unsure of any changes foreseen. This depends on the VA hiring practices in the near future.

In reviewing the solicitation documents for 36C24725Q0825, we noted that the Synopsis-Description references the site visit location will be in the following Statement of Work, but we were unable to locate a specific address or meeting point within the Performance Work Statement.

The Arcadia / Atlanta VA Clinic on the PWS will likely be removed from the indicated locations.

Can you please confirm whether the site visit scheduled for July 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM ET will take place at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033? If so, is there a designated department or meeting location we should report upon arrival?

No site visit for the Atlanta VAMC.

Additionally, will you personally be hosting the site visit, or should we expect to meet with a different point of contact? No hosted site visit. The vendor for this solicitation will be providing services for the CBOC’s only.
