Vendor Questions/Concerns for:

Machinery and Oil Analysis / 36C24724Q0396 / Charleston, SC VA Medical Center

No information will be provided about the past or current contract.

1. The contractor performing the analysis and site visits must be ISO Certified (Category 4) in

Vibration Analysis from the Vibration Institute. I think you are going to have a very hard time finding a SDVOSB contractor that meets this requirement on the front end, however, many like myself are capable of obtaining the certification if awarded. Is having the ISO Certification prior to commencing work satisfactory?

Contractor performing the analysis on site (analyst) must show proof being ISO Certified

(Category 4) in Vibration Analysis from the Vibration Institute by March 11, 2024.

5. The contractor performing the analysis and site visits must have 30 years’ experience in vibration analysis & reliability – oriented work on a wide variety of rotating machinery to include but not limited to motors, fans, pumps, compressors, centrifuges, agitators, rolls, turbines, and refiners. It states 30 years’ experience, this is a bit out of the ordinary and quite burdensome and impossible for many. Is this intended to say 3 years’ experience or how many years’ experience is considered acceptable?

Contractor must show proof of having 30 years’ cumulative experience in vibration analysis & reliability – oriented work on a wide variety of rotating machinery to include but not limited to motors, fans, pumps, compressors, centrifuges, agitators, rolls, turbines, and refiners when submitting bid/quote/proposal.
