36C24724Q0152 – Turf Management and Pest Control Services
Below are questions regarding the above referenced solicitation.
1. What is the purpose of the structural license Category 29 Household Pest Control? The solicitation does not indicate any structural spraying, only lawn and turf.
There will be no need for Category 29. Only 24 and 41
2. Under specific requirements, a 600 gallon sprayer, this is a heavy sprayer for this turf, can a smaller sprayer be substituted?
Yes, minimum of 300 gallon sprayer with a 500’ hose
3. Approximately how many insect and disease applications are expected?
Refer to “General 10-C” under “ Specific Requirements 1-C” in SOW
4. Are there to be preventive fungicide applications for spring and fall?
Refer to “Specific Requirements 1-C” in SOW
5. Bermuda mites have been identified in the past which requires multiple applications.

6. What is the approximate square footage of dead turf to be replaced? What about the current bare areas? Is sod or seed to be used and what type?
Refer to “Specific Requirements 1-D” in SOW
7. There are a number of trees on both properties, page 8 under #2 of statement of work requires spraying horticulture oil on shrubs and trees and 10-10-10 on all shrubs and trees. Please clarify trees. Does this include ALL trees on the property?
All ornamental flowering and all shrubs.
8. Please provide the actual acreage/sq ft of turf areas and beds to be sprayed.
Question will be answered at time of property walk through if requested.
9. CLIN 3, 1003, 2003, 3003, 4003 “Elimination of vegetation on fence for the Uptown VA”.
Define eliminate. There are a lot of trees and shrubs growing in and through the fence.
Elimination includes vines and weeds growing on fence line, not trees or shrubs.
10. May we request a site visit?
Yes.
