The anticipated Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The anticipated Period of Performance for design is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed with an estimated total contract period of 725 days.
Scope of Work
This project will consist of the improving circulation systems for Building B2, B3, B3, B11, B42, B43 and B21. Existing Building domestic water lines were installed in 1950 and typically divided into vertical risers that dead end on the top floor. In addition, Building B2, B3, B3, B11, and B21 have suffered from water pressure over the years due to all the renovations and demands of new spaces. This project will replace the existing 4” supply to a 6” supply for each double feed, in addition provide new backflow preventer. The new 6” trunk line shall be replaced back to the water main located around campus. Typical C900 pipe is located three feet from all building are 6” or higher in diameter piping. The 6” pipe is reduced to 4” as it enters each building. Exception of this condition can be found at B42 and B42 where pipe is 6” to 8” ductile iron piping. Intent of this project is to improve water pressure and tie the dead legs to create circulating system.
Small Business Requirements
For market research purposes, all responses to this notice will be reviewed, regardless of small business/socioeconomic category, including those firms that are identified as large businesses.
