About this file
This is an Amendment (0002) to solicitation 36C24625Q0300 for Laboratory and Pathology Courier Services at Hampton VA Medical Center, which includes technical Q&A and an updated pricing worksheet. The solicitation response deadline remains January 23rd at 3:30 p.m.
The service requires daily courier runs between Hampton VAMC and two locations: North Battlefield VA Clinic (starting April 2025) and Portsmouth, each with 250 trips annually (workdays minus holidays). Additional as-needed services include 20 trips to CBOCs and rare trips to Richmond VAMC and other affiliated clinics outside Hampton Roads. The current incumbent is Cardinal Messenger under contract 36C24624N0450 with a base year value of $20,000. The service requires a minimum of two drivers to handle daily runs and stat orders. Packages are typically carry-on sized, requiring 3 cubic feet of storage (1 for refrigerated, 1 for frozen, 1 for room temperature items). The government will provide all necessary equipment like coolers and temperature logs. The opportunity is managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 in Hampton, VA.
