About this file
This document is a Special Notice announcing the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract for preventative and corrective maintenance services on Sakura Tissue-Tek medical equipment at the Central Virginia VA Healthcare System.
The VA intends to negotiate a contract with a single source vendor for a one-year period of performance from December 1, 2024 to November 30, 2025. The required services include all labor, parts, tools, calibration tests, and travel for maintenance of the listed Tissue-Tek equipment. The VA has determined this is a sole source procurement as the equipment holds proprietary rights and is only available from a single source. Interested parties must respond by November 4, 2024 to indicate interest and capabilities. The VA will then decide whether to proceed with sole source negotiations or conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be issued, and the government will not pay for any information provided in response to this notice.
