This document contains questions and answers regarding a VA solicitation for asbestos abatement and flooring replacement at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center Building 3 canteen areas.

Key details from the Q&A include: proposals must be submitted on Standard Form 1442; an ICRA inspection is required with VA PM, CORs, General Contractor, and VA ICRA team present; the General Contractor is responsible for third-party air monitoring and state notifications; all merchandise and shelving will be removed from spaces before work begins; contractor access will be during regular hours (8-5) in canteen spaces while adjacent areas remain operational; ACM removal route is specified through main corridor to basement; required documents include SF 1442, representations/certifications, and proof of CVE/SDVOSB certification through VetCert. A significant timing concern was raised regarding the 3-4 day completion requirement, with the contractor indicating a minimum 6-week timeline is needed when accounting for mobilization, abatement, floor preparation, material acclimation, and installation across multiple phases.
