a) The closing date of this RFQ is hereby extended to 12:00 pm est, 20 February 2024.
b) See page 2 and 3 for questions and answers.
Q.1 Can the government provide information as to why Valet service for the Asheville VA Medical Center (VAMC) is released so soon after the recent award 11 SEP 2023 to In and Out Valet?
A.1 No
Q.2 What will the Government accept as the smallest font size for charts, tables and figures?
A.2 font 11
Q.3 Are the 250 vehicles parked per day an approximate number or can the Government provide accurate number/range?
A.3 Up to 250
Q.4 Will the Government provide a map of the campus and/or parking lots?
A.4 Map attached to this email – Lots 2 – 5C are all Veteran Parking. Lot 1 is Valet.
Q.5 If an incumbent exists, and considering quotes are due February 16, 2024 with a start date of April 2024, what is the Government’s award timeline to allow transition of incumbent employees?
A.5 The Government anticipates an award 1 March 2024 which will provide at least 30 days to transition.
Q.6 Does the Government require the Offeror provide an all-inclusive price for supplies/equipment (valet booth, lock boxes, safety cones, walkie-talkies, etc.), signage, uniforms, and staffing?
A.6 yes, price should be all inclusive.
Q.7 Will the government please explain the liability aspect of the contractor turning over unclaimed keys to the Administrative Officer on Duty at 5:30 pm?
1. Once the contractor provides the keys to the AOD, will a full vehicle inspection be conducted for damage?
1. Who will be responsible for damages while in the AOD possession?
A.7 Valet is responsible until they turn the keys over to the AOD.
Q.8 The PWS states the contractor will provide seasonal uniforms minimally consisting of Polo type shirt, dress pants or shorts and inclement weather jacket. Should this be included in the overall pricing?
1. Or will the government provide a separate line item?
A.8 Pricing should be all inclusive.
Q.9 PWS states, “Contractor shall have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Valet industry. The contractor shall furnish names, addresses and telephone numbers of three companies for whom similar services have been furnished (preferably other Government Agencies of the type defined herein) with their submittal.”
1. Will the Government accept the current Valet performance being conducted for the VA? Or accept less than 5 years?

Q.16 What other vehicles operate in and around the valet area?
A.16 Lane 1 is the Valet lane (only used by Valet) Lane 2 -: Used by VRQ drop off and pick up, handicapped drop off and pick up, VTS/HAS drop off and pick up, Community partners (Out and About, Contract Nursing Home drop off and pick up, Mountain Mobility drop off and pick up, Community Veteran Transportation drop off and pick up, Privately owned vehicles dropping off and picking up + other different users. Also used by Valet to bring retrieved vehicles from Valet lot.
Lane 3 - shuttle bus parking lot services, City bus (every 30 mins and they wait at the stop for 5 mins)
