TECHNICAL QUESTIONS: Salisbury Instrument Maintenance and Repair
Q1) What is the address/Location for the 3rd facility?
A1) There is no third location, each solicitation is for a single site. The mention of 3 sites is an error in the item description.
Q2) Which solicitation do you want the 3rd facility pricing included in?
A2) There is no third location, each solicitation is for a single site. The mention of 3 sites is an error in the item description. Do not include pricing for a 3rd facility in any of the pricing.
Q3) Are there 100 case carts at each facility or divided between the 3?
A3) The 100 case carts are for each individual solicitation and facility.
Q4) If the case carts are divided between the 3 facilities, please specify how many at each facility.
A4) The 100 case carts are for each individual solicitation and facility. Each site has its own solicitation. The mention of 3 sites is an error in the item description.
Q5) What is the current Solicitation number?
A5) 36C24624Q0170
Q6) What Brand of Case carts are owned?
A6) The brand of Case carts used are Pedigo mostly but also a few Metro Carts.
Q7) Need Clarification on this statement “Surgical Tray Set Maintenance Tracking and Instrument Marking using Customer's Nutrace for marking Data from Instrumentation marking must be compatible and uploaded to the Censitrac inventory tracking systems database” Does this require the awarded party to not only mark and repair the instruments but also input into Censitrac?
A7) We use Censitrac computer application to track inventory through the facilities. The marking done on the instruments is performed with a laser and the markings placed on the instruments needs to be able to be sent to Censitrac for upload into our server. That way when we scan an instrument that has been marked the Censitrac application recognizes this laser etch QR code and will tell you what the instrument is. The vendor will need to have a working relationship with Censitrac or at the least compatible systems for this uploading. VISN OSP and NOSP are pushing scanning instruments into trays for quality assurance, so this is a highly important factor for SPS. Let me know if more clarification is needed.
Q8) Need Clarification on this statement “1 visit per site per month times 3 sites Each on-site visit must include inspection, repair and sharpening of 15 trays Annual inspection and repair of 100 case carts.”
Is it 1 facility, 1 visit ,15 trays total, 300 laser markings, 100 case carts total?
A8) It will be one site visit per month for each Solicitation. The (SOW) Provides further clarification and the item description below reflects that it is one site for each solicitation and the error has been removed.
