PRESOLICITATION NOTICE

Project # 659-24-906 New Pavement, Walks and Striping The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1601 Brenner Ave Salisbury, NC has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license, and qualified supervision for Project 659-24-906, to add new pavement/walks and striping at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC.

General Scope: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, qualified supervision, and all aspects of construction described here in other specific tasks as further defined by this request for Bid. The work includes, but is not limited to:

· Excavation, asphalt works, and concrete works as indicated by construction drawings.

· Contractor shall make alteration to existing utilities if required for new works, lower or raising water valves covers, manhole covers (MH), repair of subbase, and provide and install VA accessibility ramps.

· All trash and debris shall be re-move from area in accordance with contract documents and all construction work is to be performed in accordance with local building code, specifications, and contract/documents.

· Contractor to submit traffic control plan and describe a how work to be done for the areas as noted in within this contract.

· All test results to be submitted to the government and any work found not to specifications and contract requirements will be rework at no cost to the government.

· All work, including final cleanup and completion of any punch list items, shall be performed within two hundred and forty (240) calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

· Work shall be performed in accordance with specifications and drawings.

Estimated Magnitude of Construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.

NAICS CODE: 237310 – Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction Size Standard: $45.0 Million This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about Friday August 5, 2023. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation, approx. Friday, September 6, 2023. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation, tentatively schedule site visit set for Friday, August 18, 2023, at 10:00 AM.

This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidders list is maintained. All interested vendors should register on this website. It is the offerors responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments/notices to the solicitation. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to obtain access in SAMS. SAM and Vetbiz registration must be current and active to be eligible for contract award.
