· RFI-1 previously requested more detail on demo space. Is there an as built for that space or site pics that show amount of lights to be demo and devices on the walls to get better accountability of requirement.
· Bidders can come and take existing conditions pictures if you want. We do not have as-builts or pictures showing wall devices, lighting, etc.
· RFI-2 EP101 the open work area requires furniture connections but there are no permanent walls in which to mount them. are they intended to be via floor box or power pole. Expectation that it is a power pole, please confirm
· The plan is to buy systems furniture and use whips provided by the systems furniture supplier to connect to the center columns and wall mounted power and data outlets.
· Are the specifications the same for this project as for the 4A Nursing Admin & Education project?
· The specs are identical and apply to both projects.
Exception: General project description in Division 1 and section 10 21 13 Toilet Compartments in Division 10.
· Hardware set HW-12C is missing from the Hdw. Schedule. Please verify.
· HW-12C is only in project 4B. See screen shots below from 4B.

· Doors C4BN & 479 should be changed to wood core with Acrovyn finish to match other new doors.
· Where would the dumpster be located?
· Locate a trash chute with a dumpster at the bottom with infection control measures in place.
· Will at least 1 A-Wing elevator be set aside for contractors use.?
· The elevator will not be set aside for contractors, however, it can be scheduled for contractors use in the early morning or later afternoon for material delivery. This is a 24-hour medical facility and patients and staff have elevator priority.
· Would an elevator be set aside for the contractors use?
· Contractors can coordinate with the COR for use of the service elevator at the Main Elevator bank. Elevators will not be set aside for contractor-only use.
· Would an elevator or a trash chute be used to remove waste?
· Trash chute.

· Yes, if they meet the qualifications of the positions.
· Can the elevators be used for debris removal? If so, are there any time restrictions?
· The majority of debris must go through the trash chute. Anything unable to make it down (e.g., insulation) could go on an elevator with required infection controls measures taken. This must be scheduled with the COR.
· Will cementitious topping be required to level the existing slab after the interior walls are removed?
· Spec section 09 05 16 Subsurface Prep for Floor Finishes covers this matter. The maximum depth of cementitious leveling topping is not expected to exceed 2 inches.

Provide bid pricing per hole based on size. Contractor to assume 200 holes at 1-inch or less, 50 holes at 1-3 inches, and 5 holes at 10 inches or greater.
· The specification document for this project includes a 07 81 00 Spec Section for Applied Fireproofing. However, there does not appear to be fireproofing shown on the project drawings. Is the specification section only for potential damages/repair of existing fireproofing, or is additional fireproofing work required as a part of this contract?
· Spec Section 07 81 00 should be deleted.
· Where will contractor laydown / storage areas be permitted
· Down the hill from the Boiler Plant.
· Will there be temporary power available for the contractor’s trailer and operations (for which the contractor will be responsible for paying for all connections/disconnects)?

· Specification Section 01 45 00, Article 3.2.B.1 states that the CQC System Manager should report to the project Superintendent; however, we believe it unnecessary to have two separate individuals on site for the CQC and Superintendent roles on a project such as this. Please confirm if the Site Superintendent can fulfill the role of CQC Manger, so long as they can successfully fulfill the requirements and duties of both positions?
· The Site Superintendent can fill the role of CQC Manger but must have the qualifications for both roles.
· Who is the current service provider for the existing fire alarm system? Can a contact be provided?
· Edwards Electronic Systems, Inc. EES
