The qualified Contractor will be able to stage the equipment on station during the duration of the work in a coordinated location on campus. The qualified Contractor will have adequate liability insurance to cover any property damage if one of the trees by chance falls and damages buildings, fencing, or roadways. Contractor can coordinate with COR to close parking areas, roads, and walkways in the designated work areas. Contractor can work after normal tour hours (7am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday), nights, weekends, and holidays but will have to provide light sets at own expense.

After the date the contract is awarded, the Contractor will have 6 months to complete the entire project to cut down trees, haul off tree debris, remove stumps, refill stump holes with topsoil, and seed/straw topsoil areas. All the work is located on the main campus of the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 1190 Roanoke Boulevard, Salem, VA 24153-6404.
