About this file
This is Amendment 0001 to solicitation 36C24525Q0096, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs VAMC (688) in Washington DC, effective January 2, 2025. The amendment provides responses to seven vendor questions regarding an Urgent Emergency Female Shelter services contract in Baltimore, MD.
Key details from the Q&A clarify that: the awardee must provide and maintain their own facility rather than using government property; the VA intends to award to a local, established facility in Baltimore; partnering with hotels or using temporary solutions like trailers is not permitted - only permanent brick-and-mortar facilities will be considered; the incumbent is Helping Up Mission; and while price is important, a higher technical score could outweigh cost considerations in the selection process. The amendment makes no other changes to the original solicitation terms and conditions, and the response deadline remains unchanged.
