The purpose of this amendment is to make a slight change to the language in PWS, B.3 Section 1, BACKGROUND, to incor-porate the CSP's latest estimates pertaining to PCAFC participant growth for the duration of the contract.
See page two for details.

B.3 PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS) FOR CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM SERVICES
I. BACKGROUND, Paragraph 4, originally stated –
“The VA estimates the PCAFC caregivers will increase by approximately 30% per year from 33,000 over the first year and anticipate steady increases of approximately 30% per year to a top end of approximately 82,000 for the final year of this contract. This growth will directly contribute to new caregivers requiring training (for the core curriculum) as well as anticipated continued growth for all other training options afforded within this contract for all eligible caregivers.”
Upon the execution of this amendment the Paragraph will be changed to read as follows – “As of Aug 2022, there are approximately 39,000 unique primary PCAFC caregiver participants and 3,900 unique PCAFC secondary caregiver participants. According to Projections from the VA Office of Enrollment and Forecasting, the Program is anticipated to grow rapidly reaching approximately 76,000 primary and secondary caregivers by end of FY 2024. The Program expects to expand from approximately 84,300 caregivers in FY 2025 and reach about 91,700 caregivers by 2027. This growth will directly contribute to new caregivers requiring training (for the core curriculum) as well as anticipated continued growth for all other training options afforded within this contract for all eligible caregivers.
Data Caveat: CSP believes the current forecast numbers developed during FY 22 are a reasonable estimation of the expected range number of Family Caregivers and discloses that real-world results may vary. The forecast is an estimation of outcomes based on complex assumptions applied to past data to generate numbers about the future. CSP discloses that all forecasts inherently have some degree of inaccuracy.”
