No. QUESTION Response
1 Is the laundry being picked up and dropped off same day?
Soiled laundry that is picked up is returned as clean laundry the next day with exception of Friday which is delivered on Monday.
What is the average/approximate weight of laundry per week and/or month?
The approximate monthly weights are as follow:
- Baltimore VA Medical Center 10 North Greene Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 33,300 LBS monthly -Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center 3900 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21218 15,400 LBS monthly -Perry Point VA Medical Center Perry Point, MD 21902 12,500 LBS monthly
What is the earliest the laundry can be picked and the latest the laundry can be dropped off?
•Baltimore 6:30am pick up and 10:00pm dropped off •Loch Raven 7:30 am pick up and 9:00am dropped off •Perry Point 7:00 am pick up and 3:30pm dropped off
Will the laundry be pick up 1 day and dropped off the next day
(ie. Monday pickup-Tuesday drop off)?
Soiled laundry that is picked up is returned as clean laundry the next day with exception of Friday which is delivered on Monday.
5 How many turnaround carts will be needed?
•Baltimore 45 •Loch Raven 25 •Perry Point 25
6 Will laundry pick up be 5 days a week Monday thru Friday? Yes, at all locations.
Could you please provide a breakdown of poundage of the items for each category per month, specifically for category #2?
The approximate monthly weights are as follow for all linens:
Baltimore VA Medical Center 10 North Greene Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 33,300 LBS monthly
Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center 3900 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21218 15,400 LBS monthly
Perry Point VA Medical Center Perry Point, MD 21902 12,500 LBS monthly
I do not have data for specific items. The items in category #2 except for scrub pants, tops and warm up jackets are employee uniform items. We do offer to launder the employee’s uniforms although almost no employee has ever used this service. You will see uniforms that employees return when they leave the VA and we wash before final disposition. Scrub pants and shirts are folded. Warm-up jackets are returned on hangars.
The only question for us will be if each hospital can provide the % of items 1.11.2, Category Two, that need to be hung up. For example, if Laundry Services Baltimore, MD is 20%, Laundry Services Loch Raven, Baltimore, MD 15% Laundry Services Perry Point, MD 30% Knowing this, we can provide a better quote for the VA.
Reference response to item #7 above.
9 What will be the work schedule? Soiled linen will need to be picked up and clean linen delivered 5 days per week, Monday through Friday.
10 Does each location need a designated crew? Your truck driver should be capable of picking up and delivering the linen to each station.
Are employees needed for this project or am i just suppling the products needed?
You will need staff to process the linens at your laundering facility and a driver to pick up and deliver.
12 What supplies will be needed?
The vendor will provide bulk turnaround carts in the following quantities to support the site's laundry operation:
•Baltimore 45 •Loch Raven 25 •Perry Point 25
How often will supplies need to be ordered within the year timeframe?
There are no consumables required by the VA. Supplies are what the vendor will need to support this requirement.
Who is your point of contact for scheduling/coordinating a site visit? Please and thank you.

It looks like the POC changed from Crystal Brown to you. Is this the reason the contract was extended? Do we still need to email Ms. Brown and you with our quotes?
Including Ms. Brown is not necessary.
Was there a previous incumbent and what was the contract number?
The previous incumbent was HamHed LLC. The contract number is 36C24524P0035
17 What was the reason for the previous contract termination? The contract reached the end of its performance period.
The contract states daily pick and delivery. Is this for pickup and drop off same day or can we negotiate a pick-up and delivery on multiple days, for example pick-up MTW drop off TFSat,Sun?
Pickup and drop off will occur daily Monday through Friday at each location.
The SOW says that 1.4.1,The contractor shall not bill for laundry services for cleaned linens until those linens have been delivered to the Government. Hypothetical, if we return clean laundry same day, then can we bill the COR same say?
The billing cycle is monthly. Invoices shall reflect service provided for the previous month.Example- December's invoice shall reflect services provided during the month of November.
I did not see a date or time for a site visit. I would like to have one set up if that's ok. How does next Wednesday 11OCT23 sound?
