| Question | Response |
| Please confirm the desired functionality for the Video Wall. It is our understanding that the VA wishes to source images to the display in Quadrant view. Please confirm this is correct or clarify if you would like the ability to make any source any size on the Video Wall. | No resizing, just quadrants. |
| Will the Cisco Webex Codec Plus be considered in lieu of the Cisco Webex Pro specified in section 4.1.4, 4.2.3 and 4.3.3? The additional I/O provided by the Webex Pro does not appear to be required here. | See Statement of Need. |
| Please clarify the Microsoft Teams functionality mentioned in 4.1.5. It is our understanding that the VA would like the ability to launch teams calls from the room PC, or through any of the 9 connections throughout the room or adjacent conference rooms. Additionally, anyone bringing in a laptop should be able to connect to the HDMI connections and launch a Teams Call – is this accurate or can you please clarify? | Yes - This is accurate. |
| Please confirm that “Voice Lift” functionality specified in Statement of Work section 4.1.9 is referring to traditional speech reinforcement and not “Voice Lift” as defined in the world of AV. Voice lift generally provides for progressively louder reinforcement from speakers further from the microphone where traditional speech reinforcement provides for equal microphone reinforcement across all speakers. Voice lift may be difficult with microphones that can be moved. | Equal microphone reinforcement across all speakers. |
| Please clarify expected period of performance as hardware receiving times are in excess of one year in many cases. Especially as this is an LPTA procurement in order to submit a successful proposal that there will certainly be equipment proposed that will have a long lead time. | See Statement of Need. |
| SON 4.1.2 “These will be 70” monitors.” Are 75” monitors acceptable? Do the monitors need to be rated to operate continuously (24/7) or is 16/7 operation acceptable? | 70" monitors and must be able to operate 24/7. |
| SON 4.3.9 “The rack will be located in the room approximately 40’ from the video wall.” Room 203-B7 is only 22’ x 11’ so please clarify desired placement and configuration of equipment rack. | The rack is approximately 22' away from the front display. |
| Solicitation is under manufacturing NAICS 334310, and principally for AV Equipment. Shouldn’t VAAR 852.219-78 VA NOTICE OF LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING—CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE FOR SUPPLIES AND PRODUCTS be included in the solicitation? (It was included in the cancelled solicitation 36C24522Q0583.) | Added to amendment. |
| The statement of need requests USB at 9 column locations. Does the desktop computer also need USB? | Yes. |
| There is currently no USB 3.0 matrix on the market to distribute the USB video from the camera and USB audio from the audio processor to the 9 locations requested for Teams meetings on laptops. Both the camera and audio are USB 3.0 from all Manufacturers for good quality video and audio. We can use a USB 2.0 matrix, but the video image and audio quality will be reduced. We do not believe this is an acceptable solution to provide a state-of-the-art future proof system. We recommend using a Barco Clickshare CX-50 and have the USB 3.0 transmitted wirelessly via the proprietary dongle (not on the gov network) to the laptops. Please confirm if this solution can be accepted as an approved solution? See attached data sheet. | No. These need to be hardlined. |
| The statement of work requests (9) HDMI wall plates, 1 on each column. To supply the best future proof solution, we recommend using video over IP to a standalone (not on gov network) network switch in the AV rack. Currently there is no wall plate transmitter in the market for video over IP. We would like to mount the transmitter under the workstation, then go Cat6 cable to the wall plate, and HDMI from the transmitter to the tabletop. Please confirm if this is acceptable | We need connections at the columns. The desks are stationary. |
| In the (2) Conference Rooms, we recommend using a ceiling mic array and not wireless boundary mics, it will give a more consistent coverage of the room at all times. Will this be approved? | No Wireless microphones are required. |
| The statement of work says that for Conference Room 203b-7, the rack sits next to the video wall. Does this mean it shares the equipment rack in the Command Center | No 203b-7 will have its own equipment rack in the room. Each room should have their own equipment rack. |
| Who is responsible for the Cable TV and Satellite TV home runs to the head end? | The cable is already in place. |
| Can you supply the height from ceiling tile to deck above? | No. All visitors are the site survey was asked if they needed to get into the ceiling for measurements. |
| To meet ADA requirements in the command Conference Room, the wall next to the door will need to be framed out. Should we include this work in our proposal? | The wall already has supports that the current monitor is placed on. |
| Is the furniture in Conference Room 203b-7 under the display to remain? | Yes. |
| Would you like us to include table hatches with HDMI connections in the Conference Room table in the Command Conference Room? | No. |
| Would you like the ability to turn on and off the audio in a zoned format in the room above workstations? | No. |
