Questions for Medical Gas Inspection Requirement:
1) When is the annual inspection due? July 2022
2) What are the contractor hours? 8am-4pm with exception of Operating Room. That would have to be 5am before surgeries begin
3) How many outlets do you want tested? 10% per the VHA 7515? 50%, 100%? We always do 100% to keep all beds and rooms operational
4) Can you explain what this statement means: “Testing will be performed by floors and not areas.” The standard method in the past was, start on the sixth floor and move down. The only special planning will be required for the Operating Room.
5) We want to confirm that only available inlets (vacuum and WAGD) are to be tested? No, all inlets/outlets and controls
6) Can you confirm if there are 475 beds? No, the 475 would reflect total number of inlets and outlets. Remember, this also include requirements in the new bldg. 513 (Dental Clinic)
