1. What is the designated mileage threshold referenced in 4.19? Section Removed

1. Portable O2 is not a standard piece of equipment in a wheelchair van. Is it required in wheelchair vans for this RFP? Wheelchair vans are not required for this RFP. Language removed from requirement.

1. Can you define validated use and customer complaint in item 5.9.6? Validated users are the Bene-travel eligible Veterans, their complaints will be logged and tracked through Bene-Travel Service.

1. Can you define MICS on page 25, item 0004? 0004, 1004, 2004, 3004, and 4004 have been corrected. See attached CLIN structure for corrections to those CLIN items.

1. How many referenced do you require as requested in 52.212-1 page 51 - E.1? Standard is 3 references.

6 How many vendors will be awarded contracts? This will be determined after the proposals are received and evaluated.

7. The RFP seems to conflict as to whether there needs to be an ambulance on site a both Perry Point and Baltimore locations. Could you advise? We do not require an ambulance onsite at any location but vendors are more than welcome to respond with plans to have ambulances on location.

8. Are vendors permitted to subcontract services due to distance (in our instance, Pocomoke City)? Yes. See section B.2; please submit a subcontracting plan with proposal outlining the subcontractor’s responsibility.

9. We notice that estimated times or arrival are to be within 60 minutes for routine and 30 minutes for emergency transports. Could you define what time frame would be constituted as “late”? One minute past. If these times are not commercial standards, feel free to propose new times.

10. Might we bid on parts of the contract, or must we bid on the entire contract? Yes - Clearly state the locations that your company is submitting proposals for.

11. In reference to item 5.6.4 on page 12, the proposal addresses wheel chair units and portable oxygen, fire suppression equipment, and road warning equipment. Can you please clarify and provide an example of what would satisfy these requirements? The ambulances need to be outfitted with the necessary items required defined by the State of Maryland and the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Service Systems.

12. Can you define page 25, item 0001AD additional patient? Is this for wheel chair services only? At no point is it acceptable to transport more than one patient simultaneously via Ambulance. This Item is removed. 0001AD, 1001AD. 2001AD, 3001AD, and 4001AD is removed from the CLIN Structure section B.4.

13. Can you provide an estimated number of patients who will be transported to and/or from Pocomoke? The workload at Pocomoke is relatively small by comparison to Baltimore, Perry Point and Loch Raven locations. Estimated to 3-4 trips per day. This is a rough estimate and could vary greatly.

14. There is a notation that there is to be a 24-hour notice for non-emergency calls. Will this be in effect? This item will be updated; advance notification will be at least 12 hours in advance.
