STATEMENT OF NEED AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
FOR
Bone Mill+ System
1. Background
The primary objective of this Statement of Work is to define the scope for the procurement, and integration of the Bone Mill+ System. The Bone Mill+ System is powered by the Stryker CORE 2 Console, which shows the status of the system while in use. The Bone Mill+ Base is used in the sterile field during surgery to prepare and mill autograft bone via two sterile, disposable components, the Prep+ Cartridge and the Mill+ Blade. The Prep+ Cartridge removes soft tissue from harvested bone pieces using an oscillating chamber with a rotating tube and cutter, and the Mill+ Blade mills the prepared bone pieces to fine, medium, or coarse sized particles with a rotating cutting disc.
With a single-pass cutting action, the Bone Mill consistently and efficiently produces appropriately sized particles all while protecting the bone from heat. Its best-in-class design not only integrates seamlessly into your workflow but with our family of surgical solutions. Single-pass cutting action enables uniform particulate size with low temperature bone exposure. Collection tray maximizes bone output during the milling cycle. Compatible with a wide range of Stryker’s surgical instruments. Blades specifically designed for a milled bone yield resulting in better consistency and uniformity. Preassembled blades allow for maximum efficiency during set-up and operation. Three blade sizes (fine, medium and coarse) allow for customized bone granulation for a wider range of procedures.
