About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a cable television service solicitation for the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. The solicitation seeks a contractor to provide cable input to the facility's existing coaxial CATV digital distribution system. The contractor must plan to provide their own racks and secure any new cabling or fiber run from the roof to the main communications room. The service provider must meet minimum requirements and the location utilizes an existing "GetWell Network" system wired over CAT-6. The incumbent provider is Service Electric Cable TV Inc. and televisions are likely compatible with MPEG4 format.
