About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for ambulance transportation services for the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking proposals for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide ambulance transportation services seven days a week, 24 hours a day, for a five-year ordering period starting April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2029. Responses are due by January 12, 2024 at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. This is a 100% small business set-aside solicitation requiring registration in the System for Award Management. The North American Industry Classification System code is 621910 for ambulance services. Services will be provided at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System campus located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The amendment provides answers to questions from potential offerors. One question asked about the typical number of business and non-business hour transports required; the agency response is that exact numbers cannot be provided as needs will vary, but most requests will be between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Friday as stated in the performance work statement.

A1. If I’m understanding the question, an exact number of business and non-business hours cannot be provided and will be based on our needs. From the PWS:
