B.4 STATEMENT OF WORK
Facilities Management Services at the MJCVA Medical Center is responsible for the successful operation of the TempTrak environmental monitoring system as described in Medical Center Memorandum 138-60. The program monitors, logs, and reports alarm due to temperature/humidity variances outside of the allowable range for critical patient medication, supplies, and nutrition. As a direct response to VHA Notice 2021-02, all monitoring devices should include a buffered probe, be calibrated, and require a 24-hour a day, 7 day a week history and action plan. FMS has a bona fide need to acquire stock supplies and additional ProAct events to support this directive.
1.1 Description of Products: The manufacturer will provide materials in the requested quantities. This includes: Internal/External Temperature Transmitters, Temperature/Relative Humidity Transmitters, Solid Simulator Probes, Cryogenic Probes, probe shields, batteries and ProAct events.
1.2 Background: TempTrak has been used locally since 2008, supplies have been purchased as necessary with purchase card requests and without a managed inventory. As of the service contract awarded in May 2020, the program has been renovated, in addition, the new design and VA directives require standardizing probe types and other updates. This requires an active, current inventory to be able to support the services as devices malfunction, break, and/or reach end of life.
1.3 Quality Assurance: The supplies will be inspected by the government upon delivery, any devices with physical defects must be replaced within 30 days of notification. Supplies should have manufacturer warranty and service warranty for return or repair for up to 3 years.
1.4 POC Information: for any additional information contact: Dante Alexander, COR FMS/TempTrak Administrator at Dante.Alexander@va.gov or 215-823-5800 ext 9049.

(f) Any order issued during the effective period of this contract and not completed within that period shall be completed by the Contractor within the time specified in the order. The contract shall govern the Contractor's and Government's rights and obligations with respect to that order to the same extent as if the order were completed during the contract's effective period; provided, that the Contractor shall not be required to make any deliveries under this contract after last day of the 5th year of the contract.
