About this file
This notice seeks proposals from architectural and engineering firms for the construction of a new inpatient mental health building at the Coatesville VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Firms must submit SF330 forms by June 24th, 2020 for consideration. The project involves designing and constructing a 28-bed psychiatric unit with space for 40 staff members in compliance with anti-ligature policies. The facility must provide ample access to nature, daylight, and secure outdoor spaces to promote patient healing in a non-institutional environment. Construction drawings and specifications are due within 270 days of the initial project meeting, with the contract set aside for SDVOSB small businesses. The selection criteria prioritize experience designing similar VA healthcare facilities and demonstrating project management capabilities. The anticipated construction cost is between $10-20 million.
