1. Will the drivers need to start their routes at the Coatesville VA or the Philadelphia VA to pick up any items that need delivered to Spring City, Delaware County CBOC, or Coatesville prior to picking up the specimens at the CBOC’s? Or are drivers strictly picking up specimens at the designated times and delivering to either Coatesville VA or Philadelphia VA?

Vendors would pick up in the following sequence: Pick up from the CBOCs at the specified times and deliver to Coatesville NO LATER THAN 2:30 Pm and deliver to the Philadelphia VAMC by 2 PM

It is any variety of testing- immunology, microbiology, special chemistry tests that are going from Coatesville to Philadelphia. They are like a referral lab for many of the other VAs. So my samples that we have prepared here in Coatesville need to get to Philadelphia by 2pm so they get accessioned and run overnight and results ready in most cases by the next morning. For the samples that are coming to me from the CBOCS.

We are running all the tests that we do here and resulting before we close. That flexibility is there so that they can arrange a schedule. The courier has to allow the CBOCs to finish their last appointment and spin the samples down and pack them up
